I will embark on Reconciliation, Reformation and Rebirth Agenda – Tukur
National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur has said that his administration will spend more in pursuing his Reconciliation, Reformation and Rebirth agenda.
The Chairman made this statement yesterday in Birnin Kebbi capital of Kebbi state during the campaign tour of the party in support of the reelection bid of Alhaji Saidu Dakingari, former governor of Kebbi state.
Speaking at the state stadium, Alhaji Tukur said that his leadership will ensure that all the feuding parties in PDP will be reconciled within the shortest possible time so as to move the party ahead.
According to him, "I am glad that this policy is already gaining ground in Kebbi state. The presence of the former governor Senator Adamu Aliero with all his supporters here today is an indication of greater things to come.
"I have no doubt in my mind that this election is a formality as our Candidate has delivered so much in the last term, enough to make his victory very possible"
Alhaji Tukur therefore called on the party faithful in the state to close ranks to ensure that the former governor get reelected this saturday and sworn in immeditly to continue the good works he has been doing in the state.
The former governor, Alhaji Dakingari congratulated the new chairman and wished that his visit being the very first since assuption of office will bring the luck that will bring victory to the party.
Among the dignitaries that thronged the venue of the rally include former Sports Minister Alhaji Sumaila Sambawa, Defence Minister and former acting National Chairman of PDP, Dr. Bello Mohammed, acting governor of the state, Hon. Aminu Jega, all serving members of the National Assembly from the state as well as other top government functionaries.

The attention of the South East Zone of the People's Democratic Party has been drawn to spurious publications in a section of the media alleging unfounded claims of bias against the Hon Minister of Aviation, Princess Stella Oduah in the recruitment exercise carried out by some parastatals in her ministry.
The leadership of our great Party in the southeast makes bold to state categorically that this baseless allegation is yet another futile attempt by opposition elements to smear the image of the Minister and denigrate her well earned reputation as a distinguished Nigerian and a worthy assets of our great Party, the PDP.
Princess Oduah, though a proud daughter of the Southeast zone, has proven herself to be a detribalized Nigerian both in her private business and in the discharge of her duties as Minister. The current massive upgrading of airports in all the geopolitical zones in the country bear testimony to this.
We are proud to observe that Princess Oduah's performance in office is a major plank of President Jonathan's transformation agenda.

For the records, Princess Oduah is not involved directly or indirectly in staff recruitment of any parastatal under her.
